The Complexity of Circuit Value and Network Stability

چکیده
We develop a method for non-trivially restricting fanout in a circuit. We study the complexity of the Circuit Value problem and a new problem, Network Stability, when fanout is limited. This leads to new classes of problems within P. We conjecture that the new classes are different from P and incomparable to JVC. One of these classes, CC, contains several natural complete problems, including Circuit Value for comparator circuits, Lex-first Maximal Matching, and problems related to St able Marriage and St able Roommates. When fanout is appropriately limited, we get positive results: a parallel algorithm for Circuit Value that runs in time about the square root of the number of gates, a linear-time sequential algorithm for Network Stability, and logspace reductions between Circuit Value and Network Stability. Abbreviated title. Circuit Value and Network Stability

Compact Lossy Inductance Simulators With Electronic Control
In this paper two R‑L network simulator configurations employing a single VDDIBA, one resistance and one grounded capacitance are presented. The first configuration is a grounded series resistor-inductor (R‑L) network simulator and the second configuration is intended for grounded parallel resister-inductor (R‑L) circuit simulation. Both the proposed circuits enjoy several beneficial features s...
متن کاملA New Approach for Investigating the Complexity of Short Term EEG Signal Based on Neural Network
Background and purpose: The nonlinear quality of electroencephalography (EEG), like other irregular signals, can be quantified. Some of these values, such as Lyapunovchr('39')s representative, study the signal path divergence and some quantifiers need to reconstruct the signal path but some do not. However, all of these quantifiers require a long signal to quantify the signal complexity. Mate...
متن کاملDecreasing Distribution Generation Effects on Grid Short Circuit Level Using Superconducting Fault Current Limiter Through Updating Relays Set-Points
Power system protection at transmission and distribution levels based on overcurrent relays is essential based on their properties such as detection, stability, high speed, backup and error correction accuracy. Since distributed generation sources are connected to the power grid, they not only increase the short circuit level of the grid, but also disrupt the set point of main and backup relays...
متن کاملA Heuristic Algorithm for Project Scheduling Problem to Maximizing the Net Present Value
This paper deals with resource unconstrained project scheduling problems with the objective of maximizing the net present value (NPV) of project cash flows. Here we present a heuristic algorithm named as differential procedure (Dif_AOA). In order to evaluate the efficiency of this algorithm, networks with node numbers between 10-1000 and network complexity coefficients between 1.3-6.6 have be...
متن کاملA Recurrent Neural Network for Solving Strictly Convex Quadratic Programming Problems
In this paper we present an improved neural network to solve strictly convex quadratic programming(QP) problem. The proposed model is derived based on a piecewise equation correspond to optimality condition of convex (QP) problem and has a lower structure complexity respect to the other existing neural network model for solving such problems. In theoretical aspect, stability and global converge...
